Who We Are

Trinity Presbyterian Church exists to glorify God together through the preaching, singing, hearing, and doing of His Word.
At Trinity Presbyterian Church we emphasize and adhere to the following:

Covenant Renewal Worship
In the Bible the word “covenant” refers to a formal, structured personal bond between people.  God has entered into such a personal bond with us.  Every week he renews that bond so that we might be assured of his faithfulness and love.  His serving us and repeatedly gifting us with life, forgiveness, knowledge of his will, and nourishment at his Table is his way of renewing his covenant with us.
For this reason, Sunday must be central in the life of our congregation. On this day, we are called into the Lord’s presence, cleansed from sin, renewed in our faith and trust in Jesus, instructed by his Word, strengthened as a community at the Table for sacrificial living in his kingdom, and sent out into the world once again with Christ’s blessing.

The Lord’s Supper/Communion
Communion is observed every Sunday as the climax of covenant renewal worship. The Lord’s Supper is the highlight of the worship service. God’s final gift to us is the life-giving body and blood of our Lord. We celebrate the Supper every week because we believe that God always renews his covenant with us in a shared meal. The communion meal is a powerful and effective means of grace in which God strengthens his people for service (bread) and blesses us with peace (wine).
We cordially invite to the Lord’s Table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus Christ, under the authority of Christ and his body, the Church.

Emphasis on Biblical Families
The church is a covenantal body, and the most basic unit of this covenant body is the family. At Trinity Presbyterian Church, we encourage husbands and fathers to embrace their covenantal responsibility as heads of their homes and to nurture their wives and children as they grow in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. We encourage wives and mothers to submit joyfully to their husbands, to be workers at home, and to nurture their children in Christ. Moreover, children are taught to love the Lord their God, to obey their parents, and to seek God’s blessing upon themselves and their descendants. The local church should assist and equip parents for spiritual leadership in their homes but never replace them. Family worship is, we believe, a key to godly homes, and accordingly, we strongly emphasize that fathers lead their families in daily worship in the home.

Family Integrated Worship
At Trinity Presbyterian Church, we follow the pattern throughout Scripture that the covenant community always worship together. The assembling of the saints was always a multi-generational affair, with little children worshipping alongside the adolescents, adults, and the elderly. We believe the children should be worshipping with their families for the corporate Lord’s service. We occasionally have a separate Sunday School that is geared toward the young ones, but the Lord’s Service is done all together.
